How I work

I do both halves of the job. Most design roles stop at a handoff and most front end roles start at one, and the gap between them is where products lose their detail. Doing both means the thing that ships is the thing that was designed, and it means a section that is not working can be rewritten the same day rather than queued.

The work I am proudest of tends to start earlier than a brief. Understanding what a lost sale actually costs a business changes what goes on a page: you stop adding sections because a site is supposed to have them and start solving the specific point where a specific person gets stuck.

Where I have worked

I am a UI/UX designer at Chillybin Web Design, a Singapore agency, where I work on design systems and conversion focused interfaces for clients across Asia Pacific. Before that I was at Digital Sage, and alongside my studies in Brunei I built Tag Technologies, an NFC business card company, from an idea with no name on it to a registered business selling to both of the country's telecom operators.

What I am good at

Design systems that survive being handed to other people. Interfaces measured on whether they convert rather than whether they photograph well. Production HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and enough WordPress and Webflow to ship on whatever a client already runs. Brand identity when a project needs one built from scratch.
